Nigerians Unite for Road Safety (NUFORSA) was founded in 2011 to mark the establishment of the United Nation’s Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011-2020) in Nigeria.
We seek a country where transportation can contribute to a better quality of life and be accessible to everyone. Our mission is to identify and implement local transport solutions that will improve access to basic services and economic opportunities for all people in Nigeria.
NUFORSA is a charity organization that identifies, and shares transportation solution through road safety initiatives to improve the standard of living of the people.
Our history goes back to 2011 when a group of dedicated individuals from all works of life decided to build a practical, professional road safety development charity organization that NUFORSA is today.
We combined the expertise of various bodies of road safety charities around the world and partner with different organizations in the public and private sector including local communities and government agencies in making roads and communities safe for public usage, and this is our aim.
Our collaborative effort has enabled us to continue providing road safety initiatives for Nigeria.
